The SPID, governed by AgID, is a tool for simplifying and encouraging the use of Digital Services that enables citizens and businesses to access public and private online services with a SINGLE DIGITAL IDENTITY in a simple, secure and rapid.

Identity Provider

The subjects who, after accreditation by AgID and in compliance with the regulations, attribute the digital identity to the subjects who request it, providing the relevant credential and guaranteeing to the service providers the verification of the digital identity of the user who accesses their services.

Service Provider

Public and private entities that use SPID to control access credentials to their services through integration with identity providers.
